new town, new name

After 13 hours hours of flying more than 6,000 miles, I’ve finally arrived in Prague! Trying to take it all in, but I still feel like this is just vacation, until I remember I only bought a one way ticket!

This weekend I’ll be spending some time getting familiar with the basics-train/metro system, grocery store, bank, university dorms, etc. Please pray for patience in learning the language and currency. Its so extrememly hard- more than I ever thought.

Also, I want to let you know that with the move to a new place, I’ve also decided to use a new name! The other new gal on the team is also named Kara and it seems like we needed to come up with a nickname or something in order for the Czech people to not get confused. SO, from now on I will be going by my middle name Helena, which happens to be Polish so that name is well known here in Eastern Europe.

I’ll put some pictures up tomorrow.

 Helena  =)
